Lena Hamza

Hi everyone! I’m Lena and I would love to be Education Officer for GPSoc. Having developed an interest in General Practice this year through my clinical placements, and an interest in teaching after becoming a tutor, I am well-suited to the role of education officer. I would love to explore both of these interest further and further develop my experience and skills in this field by taking on this role. Having been a part of organising an academic conference this year, ‘Meet the Paediatricians,’ (during my role as subcommittee member for Paediatric society) I have further developed the organisational skills necessary for this role. In addition, being an active committee member of an inter-university academic society, SIMA (Student Iraqi Medical Association) as charity officer has enabled me to further develop my skills of being on-the-ball and working well alongside other team members, so for these reasons please vote for me!
