I am running for Deputy President because I want to contribute meaningfully to the organisation and coordination that keeps IC EconSoc operating at a high standard. Since joining in November, I have been an active and engaged member, regularly attending events from the expert panel and consulting case workshop to the Bank of England Museum trip. These experiences have shown me the impact the society has across the student communities and departments and why strong leadership behind the scenes matters.
Through studying Economics, Finance and Data Science, I have been equipped with strong analytical ability, effective teamwork and communication skills, and the capacity to manage several responsibilities effectively. These qualities align closely with the demands of supporting the President, maintaining committee coordination and ensuring that projects, plans and ideas can progress smoothly and professionally. I also bring relevant leadership experience from serving on my Sixth Form student leadership team, where I worked in a key supporting role that required organisation, reliability and consistent communication. That experience taught me how to contribute constructively to a team while helping the lead decision‑maker carry out their vision.
I care about the direction of EconSoc and the environment it creates for students. If elected, I will bring discipline, clarity and a focused approach to the committee’s work, ensuring the society continues to deliver opportunities that maximise the utility of every member.
