Yubo Gao

Hey, I’m Yubo, a first-year biochem student. I’ve been volunteering since last term and have really enjoyed teaching students at Teddy Bear Hospital. It’s always a joy to see them learning through our fun activities.

As Innovation Officer, I’d be supporting the Media Subcommittee to bring fresh, creative ideas to our teaching stations. I’d also work to improve existing stations so that students can more easily grasp the core concepts. I love finding new ways to make our sessions even more engaging. I believe that upgrading our teaching stations and materials helps empower the students to better understand their health and wellbeing.

I also have some ideas for new stations which I will try exploring, such as “Healthy Eyes & Screen Time” or “Immune System & Vaccine”. I’ve also previously designed science sessions for Year 6 students before, so I feel I can bring some of that experience to this role.

I hope my ideas can help students feel fully immersed and excited to explore every station. And of course, I’m happy to hop into the Payel Suit too!
