Amanda Aalto

Hi everyone! My name is Amanda and I am applying to be a Play Coordinator. Having been part of the Week 2 Thursday Group this entire year has been incredibly rewarding. I always look forward to playing with the kids at the Hospital as it is clear that it makes a big difference in their hospital stay. I have consistently been able to attend sessions and would be more than honored to take on a more active role in this community. I hope to become a paediatrician and this is one of the things I do that only further solidifies my desire to make a direct positive impact in kids' lives.
I believe I would be suited for this role as it requires good communication skills, patience, organizational skills, and teamworking skills all of which I gained from my five years of experience as a stage manager where I served as a point of contact and leader for actors, crew members, and the creative team in theater productions. Let's work together to make some of these families scariest times a little more bearable or even enjoyable!
