Hi everyone!! I’m Iqra, a second-year medical student, and I’m running to be YOUR O&G Society Events and Social Officer next year! 🫵🏼

Let's start with my experience:

1. MM Year 1 Co-ordinator 📚

• Coordinated 22 high-yield tutorials & 9 SBA tutorials (BRS & POM)
• Led and supported a team of 6 tutors, collecting and implementing thorough feedback throughout
• Lead the creation of a 2-hour POM mock

This role strengthened my leadership, organisation, and ability to run structured, inclusive tutorials/events smoothly.

2. Head of Believe & Do Good Campaign 💐

• Led a subcommittee delivering multiple community events over three weeks
• Organised planting workshops at a primary school, a sign language workshop, children's trip to a trampoline park, visits to elderly care homes, and community garden clean-ups.
• Ensured events were engaging, safe, and well-coordinated.

This experience developed my creativity, logistical planning, and ability to bring people together.

3. Charity Week Auction Dinner Subcommittee 🍽️

• Contacted sponsors to secure donations and auction prizes
• Developing my communication and teamwork skills

My Vision 🤩:

If elected, I will:
🎉 Plan fun, inclusive, and varied socials throughout the year
🤝 Create events that help members connect across all year groups 1-6
💡 Introduce new themed socials and collaborative events
✨ Ensure every event is well-organised, welcoming, and memorable

I’m organised, proactive, and passionate about O&G - and I want our society to feel like a huge supportive community both academically and socially1
