Krishnii Sivakumaran

Hello everyone, I’m Krishnii, and I’m excited to be running for Vice President of the O&G Society this year. Being part of this society has been incredibly fulfilling, from contributing to the conference subcommittee and helping deliver the annual conference, to being Secretary this year, overseeing communications and maintaining committee continuity.

As Vice President, while supporting the president, I would hope to broaden engagement across all years, through more practical workshops and events showcasing the diversity within O&G, including subspecialties, research opportunities, and women’s health advocacy. I would also like to introduce interactive skills sessions and networking events to give students early exposure to different pathways in O&G, helping them build connections that support learning and provide deeper insight into the specialty.

Beyond O&G, I have held leadership roles across other societies, including Conference Chair, Sponsorship Officer and Events Officer. These experiences have allowed me to coordinate between teams, build partnerships, and deliver large-scale events, while giving me insight into what’s needed to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

O&G continues to inspire me because of its clinical breadth, patient advocacy, and impact across the life course. I would love the opportunity to take be even more involved next year and help the society continue developing events and opportunities that benefit everyone!
