Joshini Jeyaprakash

Hi everyone! I’m Joshini, and I’m running to be your next Acute Care Specialties President!

As a current committee member, I’ve been involved in organising events and delivering this year’s conference, so I understand how the society runs, what works well, and where we can build further. I’m also doing the Anaesthetics and Critical Care BSc, which has deepened both my interest and commitment to acute specialties.

If elected, I will focus on:

1. Increasing engagement – introducing more events at the start of the year, including a structured lecture series to build momentum from the beginning.

2. Stronger collaboration – working with societies such as First Aid and PHEM to create more consistent, cross-specialty events throughout the year.

3. Elevating our flagship conference – continuing to refine and grow it, including collaborating with external societies to make it even bigger and better.

I’d love the opportunity to build on what we’ve achieved and take Acute Care even further next year.
