Lydia Ho

Hi, I'm Lydia! I’m running for Treasurer because ICSM Vision is a society that I am very passionate about and I love the work that we achieve. Being on subcommittee and regularly volunteering at our conferences has shown me how much of a difference we can make to Year 12 and 13 students who might not otherwise see medicine as accessible. Seeing that impact firsthand has made me want to contribute more to the society.

Alongside Vision, I’ve also been a WATCCH mentor, supporting underprivileged Year 12 students applying to medicine. This experience has helped reinforced the huge impact that support has for aspiring students.

As Treasurer, I want to make sure our finances are clear, well-managed, and used in a way that directly benefits students. I would focus on keeping budgeting straightforward and transparent as well as working with other members of the committee in looking for sponsorships or funding opportunities. It is important to me to make sure cost is never a barrier to attending our events.

I’d love the opportunity to support the society in this role and continue to display my commitment to Vision!
