Hi everyone! I’m Vanessa, and I’m running to be your Treasurer. Pole and Aerial is one of the most vibrant communities at Imperial, but I know that high costs for classes and equipment can be a barrier. As Treasurer, my goal is to ensure our finances are as flexible as our members.

If elected, I will focus on:

• Grant & Sponsorship Hunting: I’ll proactively apply for Union funding and seek external sponsorships to subsidize the cost of new equipment (rip pole #6) and our showcases.

• Financial Transparency: You deserve to know where your membership fees go. I’ll maintain clear, organized accounts.

• Subsidised Workshops: I aim to ringfence funds specifically for guest instructor workshops, giving us access to world-class talent without the world-class price tag.

A little bit about me! I fell in love with Pole as a sport and my favourite move is the Figurehead :) I am organized, detail-oriented, and committed to keeping our society financially healthy so all you have to worry about is getting those Ayeshas. I run my own business outside of Imperial, so you can place trust in my ability to manage the funds in a careful and competent manner!
