Kavish Khemka
As a first-year Mechanical Engineering student, I’ve spent my first few months at Imperial learning that even the most ambitious projects can fail if the logistics and the data aren’t handled properly. The energy transition is the biggest challenge we will face, and the Energy Society is where we start addressing it.
I’m running for Secretary because I want to ensure the society runs smoothly. This way, the committee can focus on organizing the best events on campus. My engineering mindset is built for organization. Whether it's keeping track of meeting notes, securing room bookings, or making sure everyone is on the same page, I aim to reduce friction. I don’t want our members to miss out on a great networking event or a guest lecture because of a late email or a confusing sign-up link. I plan to simplify our internal communications and keep our records organized, making sure everything behind the scenes operates as efficiently as a well-tuned engine.
Ultimately, I’m someone who is genuinely excited about the future of the energy sector and wants to help our community grow. I’m reliable, easy to reach, and ready to work hard to keep our society organized and accessible for everyone—from freshers to postgrads. I’d appreciate the chance to help power the society this year and ensure we’re running at full capacity.
