Hello everyone! I’m Stephanie and I’m standing to be elected as your Treasurer for ICPASS for the 2026-2027 academic year. As someone who has studied in an international school as a local student, I’m hyperaware of the disparity between my lifestyle and the struggles of the underprivileged. The knowledge of these social issues fuels my desire to give back through volunteering at organizations such as “Changing Young Lives” and “Crossroads” in Hong Kong. For that reason, I’m immensely grateful for the community that being a part of PASS has cultivated that has allowed me to connect with likeminded individuals from not only Imperial, but other universities.
Through being a prefect in my previous school’s student council, I know how to budget accordingly to secure funding from financial departments (or in this case student union). Being a Social Services Subcommittee representative and co-founder of a student-led crochet charity initiative, I also know how to use pricing strategies to our advantage in order to drive engagement. By voting for me, I aim to contribute to the committee through
- Improved engagement with internal and 5U events through lower prices and higher subsidies
- Higher profit margins by getting better deals through early bird fees
- Increased range of sponsorships to facilitate better career events and lower event prices
I would be honored to represent PASS as your treasurer! Feel free to contact me about my campaign through either my email (stephanie.kwan25@imperial.ac.uk) or my instagram dms (@stephaniehykwan).
