Hey everyone!

My name is Libby, I'm a 1st year Geologist, and I'm running for Geolsoc Fieldtrip Officer.

I am dedicated to making sure everyone has fun while learning in and exploring the outdoors (with some much-needed pit stops along the way). Therefore, I would love the opportunity to organise some new, affordable trips next year, to interesting sites across the UK.

I have done Geology since GCSE and so have been on many a fieldtrip in my time. This means I know the ins and outs of what makes an enjoyable and exciting trip with aims of building community within the department and deepening our understanding of and passion for our subject. I feel that these trips could be a great opportunity for all years to socialise, work together and share ideas, bringing the department together in a setting we all love. Furthermore, I am committed to making trips accessible for everyone while protecting our precious environment, as I truly believe that the outdoors should be open and welcoming to everyone (including future generations).

I'm excited by the prospect of working with you all to make Geolsoc the best it can be next year.
