Brian Nwaghodoh
Hi, I’m Brian, a first-year Maths & CS student, and I’m running to be your ACS Web Administrator next year. I have experience with both front-end and back-end web development, and I want to put those skills to good use by making the ACS website more interactive, reliable, and relevant - because I’m sure many of you (like me) didn’t even know the ACS website existed.
Have you ever tried using ACS’s official website? I’ll spare you the time of finding it through the linktree: https://www.icacs.co.uk/
Clicking this link, you're met with a “Connection not secure” warning. Bypass that, and the website is empty.
For a society like ACS, the website matters: it can be a first point of contact for new members, and a place to showcase our events, achievements, and community. Vote me, and I'll put the website in place.
My plans to improve the website include regularly updating the events calendar so members can keep track of what’s happening, posting more photos and highlights from events, and maintaining a committee information page - alongside fixing the core issues that currently make the site hard to access and use.
Thanks for reading - I’d really appreciate your vote.
