Gospel Choir: Vice President

My name is Ibukun and I’m running to be your VP next year!

Having been small groups director this year, I have loved the opportunity to input in the MD team and it has allowed me to grow in various areas musically, spiritually and personally.

Being on committee has highlighted to me the unseen work that goes on behind the scenes to keep the choir running and in line with the vision God has for us. I believe VP is a role that’s essential in the planning and the logistics of the choir, but is also a role where I can impact different areas of ICGC and pour into both committee and society.

My plans for next year are:

  1. To increase ICGC involvement in charity initiatives and events e.g charity homes, food banks
  2. To increase the reach and presence of ICGC on campus
  3. To continue fundraising initiatives for the choir

A verse that really resonates with me is Psalm 18:35 “You have also given me the shield of Your Salvation, Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great. Not only do I believe God will hold me up next year, I believe he will also hold up ICGC, and ultimately He is the one that makes us great.

My prayer is that next year we will continue to grow in community and faith, moving from strength to strength IJN.
