Chizara Abraham-Igwe

Hi guys, I’m Chizara, and I would love to serve the Gospel Choir community through the role of Secretary!

As a first year, I’ve found my experience of Gospel Choir to be one of joy and fellowship that I haven’t seen replicated anywhere else at uni. I have genuinely loved every moment of it and recognise the massive role that committee members have played in creating this environment. It’s because of this that I want to contribute meaningfully to sustaining the God-focused culture that has been so strongly embedded in the society.

Galatians 6:10 (NIV) says “Therefore, as we have the opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” I believe that through my effective communication skills, strong reliability and efficient organisation, I have the opportunity to do just this! I hope to implement greater accessibility of information to both members and non-members surrounding rehearsals and upcoming performances, as well as include more activity proposals that target the wider Imperial community.

Ultimately, my aim would be to facilitate a smooth-running Gospel Choir next year, so our focus can be growing in faith and using our voices to glorify God.
