Sally Suchanek

Helloo! I'm Sally, a second-year biochemist, and I'd like to be VP for BiochemSoc!

I previously organized BiochemSoc families and helped out with the Y1 lab skills and exam skills sessions, but after watching the society become a bit inactive in Spring Term for the past two years in a row, I'd really like to work on reviving the society for next year!

This would include:

• Starting merch in the Autumn term so we can show off Biochem all year long! Fairly priced hoodies, lanyards, and tote bags.
• Implementing a mentorship scheme or workshops for Y2 students, in addition to the typical Y1 schemes.
• An improved event schedule so that you know our big events from the very start of term. (Boat party... finally?)
• More socials to connect undergraduates and postgraduates in the department, together with BioSoc.
• Bringing back the Quad Bio careers fair - where did it go this year?
• Polls for all biochemists to decide what we spend our event budget towards!
