Merhaba arkadaşlar!!

I’m Duygu, and I’m currently studying Molecular Bioengineering. You guys may have known me from this year’s committee as a Social Secretary. Being part of Turkish Society has genuinely been one of the highlights of my time at Imperial and I want to continue contributing to our society by running for Vice President.

As Social Secretary, I worked on organising and promoting our core events, as well as communicating closely with our members. This role gave me perspective into both the strengths of our society and areas where we can improve. As Vice President, my goal is to preserve our core values while building on them to make our society even stronger.

If elected, I would like to introduce a weekly newsletter highlighting upcoming events, ticket deadlines, and important announcements to make sure no one misses out. Additionally, I would organise more academic panels and networking opportunities, helping connect our members with alumni and professionals. Finally, I would love to organize karaoke and Turkish music nights to help us unwind from Imperial stress (and of course, to hear Eda Bakay perform).

I will work to ensure that Turkish Society remains an environment where everyone feels included, supported, and proud to be part of our community. I would be incredibly grateful for your support and the opportunity to continue serving our society as Vice President.
