All the World’s a Stage — Let’s Own It. ðŸŽ
Hi! I’m Anya Gupta, a first-year Biomedical Engineering student running for Acting Director for Drama Society.
Theatre has been a huge part of my life for over a decade. Whether it’s rehearsals, improv chaos, or the adrenaline of stepping on stage, acting creates a space where people can express themselves freely and connect through storytelling. I want Acting Director to help build a welcoming environment where anyone who loves drama — from experienced performers to curious first-timers — feels comfortable jumping in.
What I want to bring to Drama Soc:
• Acting workshops – regular sessions on stage presence, improvisation, character work, and voice projection.
• Skill-building classes – helping actors develop confidence, stage technique, and performance skills.
• A safe creative space – encouraging people to experiment, perform, and grow without pressure.
• Actor-focused rehearsals – supporting casts during productions so performances feel polished and collaborative.
• Drama socials – relaxed meetups, improv games, and theatre hangouts where drama lovers can connect.
Why me?
• 12 years of acting experience with a Diploma from Trinity College London.
• Performed Shakespeare in London, including The Tempest, Romeo and Juliet, and Macbeth.
• I love to act, yap, and engage people in dramatic spaces, and I’m passionate about helping others feel confident on stage.
My goal is simple: create a place where all drama freaks feel at home and where great performances can grow.
’d really appreciate your vote! ðŸŽ
