Boat: Sponsorship

Having served as your secretary this year - managing emails, recording committee meeting minutes, and (off the job description) becoming an in-house engineer for the still-being-built electronics storage units and canards - I hope I have gained your confidence as a valuable committee member. Despite being away for a year in Bristol, I wish to return to a thriving (and prosperous) boat club in my final year. Combined with the little necessity of a sponsorship officer being present in day-to-day activities, this is why I have chosen to run for this role.

I am experienced and confident in communicating with potential sponsors (and successful at landing deals too as the Aeronautics Secretary this year). With current connections to the sponsors of AeroSoc, as well as being connected to nominees for next year’s committee, I have two-step connections to contacts who deal with sponsorships in high level companies. Whilst based in Bristol, I will be surrounded by small companies looking to expand their brand (particularly in a city such as London), as well as large companies who would take great interest in a university such as Imperial.
