Hi everyone, I'm Shih Kai and I'm running to be your next Sports Officer!

As someone who grew up enjoying sports with friends and family (and now with Play@ICSS!), I know how sports can be a means to have fun with friends and meet people with shared hobbies. This is my motivation for running: I am dedicated to creating an environment in Play@ICSS where you can find and develop a passion with friends new and old, forming a close-knit community.

My experience as an athlete representing Imperial in the BUCS tennis men's second team and a current sports representative for Play@ICSS has given me the knowledge on how to run a succesful sports event, from the planning, logistics and budgeting to the execution. I intend to use this to provide something for everyone - whether you're looking to keep up with a sport you know and love, exploring new passions, or just want to keep fit. There will always be something for you at ICSS, with like-minded friends. I want to create a supportive community where there's always something to look forward to.

Beyond this, I firmly believe in the power of sports as a social catalyst. I hope to organise sporting events and socials where you can meet, play, and chat with fellow Imperial students and Singaporeans from different universities who share your hobbies. I will ensure these meetings turn into lasting friendships that continue off the field.
