Physics: Social Secretary
Hello! My name is Ramin and I’m currently a 3rd year physics student. I believe social events are important for people to relieve stress and enjoy themselves. It is also a chance to meet people, try something new, or just a place to go to with your friends to have fun. As social secretary, I want to create a calendar of events that gives everyone something to look forward to throughout the year.
In this role, I hope to:
- Organise more events, including movie nights, karaoke and videogames (like MarioKart!)
- Encourage students to suggest and help create their own events through a centralised system
- Continue annual events (Christmas dinner, boat party)
- Collaborate with other societies such as Film, Quiz or Astro to create joint events
- Involve the PhySoc families more in social or competitive activities (pub crawls, dodgeball, Easter-egg hunt)
By creating more events for everyone to get involved with, I hope to create a more stress-free and social environment in PhySoc.
