African Caribbean: Secretary

Culture. Vibes. Community.

These are the principles I stand upon and believe should be the forefront of our ACS.

Culture – The foundation of our society and what connects us. We represent a wide range of experiences, traditions, and identities, and what makes us special is not only what we share but also what makes us unique, and this should be appreciated and respected.

Vibes – ACS should never feel like a chore. Coming to events and engaging with others should feel natural. I want for our society to be fun and full of good vibes. I want people leaving events excited for the next one and people showing up because they enjoy the experience.

Community – ACS is more than a society; it's a family. Community can be our strength, and together we can create a network that empowers each of us academically, socially and culturally. Imagine a space where you can find people who understand you, uplift you, and inspire you; this is what I envision.

If appointed as your ACS secretary, I’ll be committed to keeping our society organised, informed, and full of energy. I will communicate clearly across platforms so no one misses updates or events, and I’ll support the committee with efficient planning and structure. With fresh ideas, good energy, authenticity and a passion for building community, I’ll work to make Imperial’s ACS a space where everyone feels included, valued, and excited to show up.

If any of this resonates with you...
