Mayowa Adeyemi

Hey everyone! I’m Mayowa, and I’m running to be the ArtSoc Secretary this year!

I only discovered ArtSoc in my third year, but even in that short time, it’s become something I really love. I’ve really enjoyed the socials and of course, the shows (six so far and counting!).

I’m running because I genuinely want to give back to a society that’s given me so much. I want to keep ArtSoc open, accessible, and well-organised, because everyone should have the chance to experience the magic of live theatre.

While I haven’t held a formal society role before, I’ve found I thrive in behind-the-scenes roles, keeping an eye on details and making sure things get done. Through leadership in group projects and mentoring, I’ve learned how to stay on top of responsibilities and follow through.

I am confident I can maintain the standards ArtSoc is known for (and I also have some plans for how we can spice up the newsletters too!).
