Hello everyone!
My name is Jing Qian, and I usually go by Celine, studying Economics, Finance, and Data Science.
As Secretary, my goal is to strengthen the society’s internal coordination and governance by establishing structured processes, improving transparency, and building sustainable systems that support both current operations and future continuity.
Through my experiences as Head of Events, society president, and in secretarial roles, I have developed strong organisational discipline, cross-team coordination skills, and the ability to maintain clear and professional documentation.
My goals:
- Shared Outlook Calendar
- I will create a shared Outlook calendar through the society email to centralise event scheduling.
- Committee members will be able to add and view events in real time, preventing scheduling conflicts and reducing repeated messaging for information.
- This supports long-term planning by clearly mapping upcoming society activities.
- Organisation & Efficiency - Sustainable Database
- I will maintain an updated database of current committees and archive past committees to support continuity and alumni engagement.
- I will also document past events and key contacts such as speakers, sponsors, and partners, ensuring valuable relationships are preserved and enabling future committees to expand the society’s professional network.
- Transparency Enhance Internal Collaboration
- I will ensure meetings, workshops, speaker sessions, and social events run smoothly through clear scheduling and coordinated registration processes, while maintaining up-to-date meeting minutes and records so all committee members remain aligned.
I am ready to take on the responsibilities of Secretary with commitment, accountability, and professionalism, and I look forward to helping FinSoc continue strengthening its standards and impact.
