Hi, I’m Avneet and I’m running to be Treasurer of ICUTKD next year!

After many hours spent making Instagram reels as publicity officer and still no finance internship secured, I’ve been motivated to look for experience in other areas.

As your treasurer, you can trust me to safely handle our finances and keep the club running as smoothly as it has been. I plan on securing all the possible grants and funding allocations for us, even if it means squeezing every last penny out of Union - which gives us bigger subsidies at comps, cheaper training fees and more new kit! I also plan on having a bigger budget for socials (and free food!) because we all deserve a fun break from training sometimes.

I’m a pretty responsible spender (I exclusively buy jaegerbombs 4 at a time to ensure I always get the best deal possible) and as a maths student, I won’t have trouble with crunching the numbers. Being on the Women in Maths committee this year has also given me useful experience with budgeting (and using the Domino’s app), which will no doubt be essential to the role.
