Nikodem Brol

Cześć! My name is Nikodem Brol, an Economics, Finance and Data Science student, and I’m running for Finance Officer to improve the state of PolSoc.

Let’s be honest, the Polish Society has been very quiet lately. We have a large community of Poles at Imperial, but the society should be more than just a name on a Union list, it should be our "home away from home." I am stepping up to provide the help I can using my knowledge of Finance and budgeting to improve the state of the society.

A revival needs more than just ideas; it needs capital and organization. As an EFDS student, I have the quantitative discipline to manage our accounts, but as a Pole, I have a passion to ensure those funds are used to bring us together.

My Strategy:

• Sponsorship: I will move beyond membership fees by pitching to Polish British firms and recruiters. External funding is the key to subsidizing ticket prices for events and for removing the need for a membership price. We should be connected without the need for payment.
• Funding Consistency: High stakes events are great, but revival starts with consistency. I’ll prioritize budgeting for small events and regular low-cost meetups to rebuild our society from the ground up.
