Dearest boat,

For those of you who don’t know me, I am Andre, the current treasurer, and I am once again honoured to be running for the role of treasurer for the next academic year. Here are some of the reasons why I thought I should rerun the year:

1. After a year on the job, I have the necessary knowledge and foresight to work closely with the committee and coaches to enable them to execute plans with the necessary financial backing, whether it's a Dorney/Henley training weekend or an overseas trip for some exciting racing.
2. I have gained a number of union contacts through working closely with them, and I believe I have the necessary knowledge to jump through any union procedures necessary for the club to carry out its necessary transactions smoothly
3. As a dedicated cox who loves shiny new equipment, I believe I can manage any boat club funds and advocate for purchases and expenses for both men's and women's squads, which will improve our current equipment and fleet of boats. We have successfully used our funds to gain telemetry equipment, and we hope to continue spending available grants and funds to purchase and subsidise equipment and trips!

All in all, these are the reasons why I believe I am best suited to the role, and I am confident I can work cohesively with the committee to help our club run smoothly!
