Nadia Angeli-Lye

My name is Nadia, and I'm standing to be your next Treasurer. As Vice-Captain of the women's team this year, I've been heavily involved with everything lacrosse, working closely with Arya in leading the Phoenixes to the top of the league. That same commitment and drive is exactly what I want to bring to the executive committee.

This year the club secured grants like the Harlington Fund which went towards improving our equipment, and as Treasurer, I want to build on that momentum. Submitting a thorough and ambitious annual budget is the single most impactful thing a Treasurer can do, and I will dedicate time and care to making sure we apply for every grant available to us, so that all three teams have the resources they need to thrive.

As part of executive committee, I’ll be proactive about recruitment, because more members mean more funding. And, having spent this year persistently chasing people down to come to matches, I have no problem using that same energy to chase up membership payments!

I understand that the role is fundamentally one of accountability and transparency. Claims, budgets, and purchase orders are handled promptly, and I won't hesitate to chase the relevant people when things are moving slowly. For activities like tour, I'll work closely with the organisers in advance to ensure spending stays on track.

I've seen first-hand what this club can achieve when it's well-run, and I want to help make sure funding is never the thing holding us back.
