Hey everyone, hope term’s going as well as possible.

I’m the current Treasurer for MechSoc and I’d genuinely love to continue in the role next year.

This year I’ve spent a lot of time properly learning all the Union rules and financial regulations, and honestly, they’re not super easy to wrap your head around at first. But now that I fully understand how everything works, I won’t need to spend extra time next year figuring things out. I can focus straight away on making things happen and improving what we already do.

I’ve also worked on securing yearly sponsorship from OC Trust, which is now being put to use for the Hackathon this term. I’d really like to help make that something we can run consistently every year, not just as a one-off.

I’ve made mistakes along the way, but I had the opportunity to correct and learned from them. That experience means I understand the system better now, and I know how to avoid delays or issues going forward. I know the finances inside out at this point.

I care about MechSoc and I’d love the chance to keep serving it next year, with more experience, more efficiency, and bigger plans.
