African Caribbean: Treasurer

Hi everyone, I’m Paul, and I’m running for ACS Treasurer because black communities have played a meaningful role throughout my academic journey - from the Amos Bursary to Target Bath - providing support, mentorship, and a sense of belonging. ACS is another space where I see that same spirit, and I want to help strengthen it for everyone here at Imperial.

Why Treasurer?
I’m organised, reliable, and comfortable handling responsibility - whether balancing part-time work with A-levels, managing tasks during work experiences, or supporting teams in fast-paced environments. These experiences have taught me discipline, clear communication, and thoughtful decision-making, all of which are essential for managing ACS finances.

What I’ll Bring:
Financial transparency: Clear, simple updates so the whole committee understands our budget and spending.
Responsible budgeting: Ensuring every decision aligns with ACS goals and provides real value for members.
Member-focused spending: Using our resources to deliver impactful events that celebrate culture, support development, and strengthen community.

My Vision
I want ACS to remain a space where people feel supported, represented, and connected. As Treasurer, I’ll make sure our finances are well-managed so the society can keep growing and delivering events that truly benefit our members.

Black communities have uplifted me throughout my education, and I’d love the opportunity to give back.

Vote Paul for Treasurer - committed, dependable, and ready to serve our community.
