Yusei Saeki

Hello everyone, my name is Yusei Saeki and I am currently a first-year Physics student applying to become Treasurer for the Japan Society next year.

Over the past few months, I have truly enjoyed being part of this community. Whether thats going to pub socials or simply meeting up with my Japafam - it has made my univeristy experience incredibly special.

As Treasurer, one of the most important responsibilities will be managing and monitoring our budget. I can assure you that I will take charge of the society’s budget and ensure that we remain financially stable. And I would like to proudly say that I am currently on a lifelong streak of never being in debt. I plan to protect that streak — and more importantly, make sure Japan Society does the same. I also look forward to coorporating with old and new sponsors to secure financial support, allowing us to continue delivering more of our amazing events.

Beyond the financial aspect of my job, I am also committed to helping maintain Japan Society as a place where everyone feels welcome and at home. I’d be proud to give back the same care and support I’ve felt this year to future members of the society.
