Hi everyone, my name is Ammar. Yes, I know my display name says Mohamad, a bit confusing right? But I prefer to go by Ammar. Some of you might recognise me better as Suresh from MNight. That was indeed me on stage and stepping into that character was such a memorable experience.

If given the opportunity to serve as your Communication Secretary for the upcoming term, I have several clear goals in mind. Firstly, I aim to keep ICUMS social media platforms consistently active throughout the year. Rather than posting only during major events, I plan to introduce engaging content series such as short reels or slideshow posts featuring interesting facts about Malaysia, relatable experience as international students, study tips and many more. This ensures our page remains informative, relevant and entertaining.

Secondly, I want to focus on two-way engagement instead of one-way posting. This could include weekly or monthly Q&A sessions, interactive polls, meme-based content and other creative strategies to strengthen connection within community. In addition, I propose setting up a small subcommittee under the Communication Secretary specifically to handle posters, announcements and regular content updates. This team would ensure consistency, faster turnaround time and better coordination for promotional materials throughout the year. Lastly, I aim to promote MNight earlier and more strategically, releasing content in phases to build anticipation and maximise engagement.

With my creativity, organisational skills and passion for communication and publicity, I am confident I can contribute meaningfully to ICUMS.
