Hello, I'm Ying Shan and I'm running for communications secretary this year!

As your communications secretary, I want to strenghten Msocs digital presence with both intention and creativity. Digital platforms are often our first point of communication, so I want our social media and marketing to reflect the warmth of our community! Design and art are areas of interest to me, therefore I have worked with many digital creation apps like canva, adobe photoshop and lightroom. Some of my main ideas if elected would be to:

1. London Malaysian food guide with hand-drawn illustrations and short reviews for 1st Years wanting a taste of home!

2. Mnight 2026- Early-bird discounted tickets to create urgency in buying tickets, cast/theme reveals, publicity sub-team to divide into a) creating brand identity and b) making promotional content.

3. Freshers/Course content- 24-hour vlogs (reels) to showcase what it is like to study different courses, events round-up for the year and introductions to the ICUMS committee.

4. Cultural appreciation in the form of infographic-style posts about Malaysia's culture for those who chance upon our page to learn more about our diverse country
