Karan Kukreja

Hi, I'm Karan. I have been an active member of the chess society this year and am aspiring to take the society and my contribution to it to the next level by taking up the role of President.

To help improve the society, I would aim to run more tournaments and events to attract more members regardless of previous experience with the game. Alongside the club on Mondays, I would try to implement more ECF rated rapid games to cater to those looking to take their chess a bit more seriously.

I would also use these improvements to help attract more sponsors. At BUCA, I noticed that we are slightly lacking compared to some other universities in this area. The first team winning the tournament was a great success and provides the perfect platform to bring new sponsors to the society and grow the game further at Imperial.
