Good morning, good afternoon, and good evening.
I am Qi, and I stand to succeed Maki because I want to become your next Taekwondo Chair.
Grew up doing dance and playing instruments, which I miserably failed at. Thankfully, I was introduced to combat sports and out of every other kind, taekwondo conquered me with the coolest and cleanest kicks. Ever since I knew this is what I wanted to do when I am far, far, far away from the reach of my parents.
To me, Taekwondo is more than a combat sport. It is an art of discipline. Not the boring, strict kind — but the empowering kind. The kind that teaches consistency, respect, and self-control. The kind that builds confidence quietly but powerfully.
As your Chair, I want to create a club where everyone feels welcome, supported, and challenged. A space where beginners feel brave, experienced members feel driven, and we all grow stronger together.
Taekwondo helped me redefine strength. Now, I want to help our society become stronger — with passion, discipline, and heart.
