¡Hola a todos!

I’m Carlota, your current Secretary, and I’m running to be your next Spanish & Latin American Society President in my final year.

Over the past year, I’ve been dedicated to organising events, coordinating logistics, managing communications, and strengthening our Spanish and Latin American community. Through this experience, I’ve seen firsthand what it takes to keep our society active, welcoming, and well organised.

I’m originally from Madrid, and after living outside Spain for nine years, I understand how important it is to have a society that provides a sense of home, culture, and belonging, alongside exciting events where we can connect with others who share our language and heritage.

I believe continuity is essential to ensure a smooth transition and build on the momentum we’ve created this year. Having worked closely with every member of the current committee, I’ve gained the insight, commitment, and experience needed to lead effectively and continue growing our Society as one of the most active cultural communities.

Not only do I have the initiative to bring forward new ideas, but I also understand how to turn them into events. From navigating Union policies to managing logistics and regulations, I know how everything works behind-the-scenes, which means I’ll be ready to lead from day one.

If mus and sports tournaments, hoodies, Spanish nights out, pub quizzes, cultural celebrations, and tortilla de patata competitions sound like the kind of year you want, I would be honoured to have your vote.
