Raphael Sinai
Electrical Engineering: President
As secretary this year, I've learnt a lot about how things run with the union (endlessly chasing them...) and what to do better next year.
For next year I will:
- Push for newer events
- I'll hear you guys out, run the events YOU want. In addition, I'll take the lessons learnt from this year for events such as Pop the Balloon to improve on them next year.
- Run more frequent small events
- With some new logistics I brought this year, we can start running more small scale food and drink events, giving you guys a nice break from studying and free food.
- Liaise with the Union and other societies
- Something that was done well this year and that I got the opportunity to learn from the current committee and do hands on myself is communication and following up with the Union to ensure all of our finances, events, risk assessments and all admin is in order. In addition to this, I'll keep our current events within EESoc and reach out and push for more collaborations next year, it's fun to have events with your cohort, but it's also nice to see new faces and meet new people.
My experience this year taught me a lot, and I can apply those next year to ensure EESoc stays active and runs even smoother next year.
