You probably know who I am, but if you don't, I'm Wenda WuTM, genius (disputed), billionaire (non-monetary) , playboy (devoted boyfriend), philanthropist, and ready to MAKE MATHSOC GREAT AGAIN.
I'll admit, we've been caught lacking, and our once massive lead as absolute-best-society-in-the-whole-wide-world has been slipping, because our committee thinks that their studies/relationship/jobs/etc are more important than the glory of MathSoc. Amateurs.
That's why you need me, an absolute BUM DEGEN with more free time than ANYONE ELSE, who will dedicate HIMSELF 100% to MathSoc, for THE LOVE OF THE GAME.
A vote for me as President/Vice is a vote for:
- CLEARER COMMUNICATION CHANNELS: Currently, how we communicate is crap. As Prez, I will:
- Create a DISCORD and LINKEDIN for MathSoc communications
- STREAMLINE the communication of events and opportunities
- FIX THE WEBSITE (still displaying events from DECEMBER 2025!)
- MORE SOCIAL EVENTS: We need to take inspiration from D*cS*c, and get socialising! Not only are they a great way to relax, they give us excellent excuses to drin-network.
- WEEKLY MathSoc Socials
- VARIED OPTIONS for socials, voted by YOU!
- INTER-UNIVERSITY SOCIALS, for your U*L, L*E, K*L friends
- FIXING CAUCHY: Let's face it. Cauchy isn't great. People already attend a dozen lectures weekly. No-one wants to attend another! I will:
- Create a PROPER CURRICULM for Cauchy
- LESS lectures, MORE competitions/practise/implementation. We want to DO TRADING
- Get SPONSORS to run trading simulations/competitions with other societies. GET PEOPLE IN RECRUITERS' MINDS
