Hello Sinfo! I appreciate that you might not have much choice, but I think I can provide you with plenty of reasons to vote me in for chair next year!

My main focus for the year will be developing a better working relationship with our conductor Tom Goff. He hasn't been with us for too long, and I believe that if knows us better as musicians he will be able to conduct us more effectively. Motivation for regular practice and attendance across the orchestra can be low, myself very much included, but both are certainly doable even within a busy Imperial schedule, and a conductor with the confidence to push us as performers will be a good way to improve this. This will involve more communication between Tom and the committee, and hopefully getting him to come to our socials.

Speaking of socials, I plan on bringing back and placing more importance on our historic post-concert ceilidhs, and advertising these as part of our concerts to boost ticket sales. This may involve creating a new committee position for 'Ceilidh Director' so that someone is responsible for organising the dances and gathering musicians.

Following ICSO's charity concert, I also think Sinfo could benefit from more laid-back secondary concerts for film/musical music, perhaps even a symphonic metal collab...

If I'm voted in I'll be pushing the committee hard to help make Sinfo an excellent orchestra both musically and socially, and my final promise is to actually be on time for rehearsals!
