As the deputy president of activities, I would aim to:

• Bring in more exciting hikes! Fellwanderers already have a huge roster of great routes planned out, but going through the English countryside does get boring after some point. I want to introduce new kinds of hikes, like hiking without a planned route in a relatively unexplored place, photography hikes where we go a lot slower than usual and focus on taking good photos, or possible night hikes that end with a sunrise at the peak! Of course, these are just ideas for now, but my point is: I’ll bring in a unique approach to Fellwanderers activities.
• Have more collaborations with other societies. This would give Fellwanderers to experience something new, like ending a long hike with an authentic dinner experience with other cultural societies, historical hikes where we explore ancient areas, or something as simple as joint socials to expand our community and meet new people.

But anyone can do this. Why me?

• I’ve been hiking a LOT, both with and outside of the Fellwanderers. This gives me a lot of personal investment in the activity, and I’m genuinely eager to bring about changes to make hiking fun for everyone.
• I’ve got a lot of experience in planning activities for highschool clubs, so I’m more than capable of making sure all activities are logistically well-planned and we deliver the best possible experience to all hikers!
