Hi, I'm Emily and I'm estranged and also kinship care-experienced. After founding the EaCES Network and being the EaCES Officer in it's first year, I would love to continue representing and advocating for estranged and care-experienced students for another academic year. Through the EaCES Network, I have been able to organise regular community events, increase awareness of EaCES at Imperial among the general student and staff population, and work with the uni and the union to improve accommodation provisions for EaCES at Imperial. Being elected as a network member for another year would allow me to continue this work and push for better support provisions for EaCES both before, during, and after our studies to close the gap in continuation, attainment, and mental health between us and our peers.
