College isn’t just about going to lectures and getting good grades — it’s about self discovery in an ocean of brilliant individuals from all over the world. It is essential that each of us feels supported, included, and empowered to grow while adjusting to life at university.
When I think about wellbeing, I think of caring for both body and mind, recognising hidden struggles, and listening without judgement. I believe that in the midst of competition and success, a space to be yourself and wind down from the external world is needed. I am running for this position because I am certain I can create an environment that focuses on personal development and an escape from all the stressful events in university life.
My vision includes weekly study-break sessions with tea, card games, and quiet reading spaces to unwind. To add to the “Wellbeing Week” that already takes place at Imperial, we can have insightful workshops on stress management and inclusivity. I will organise weekly sports activities focused on enjoyment, not competition, and introduce an anonymous wellbeing suggestions box to ensure that every voice is heard.
I hope I can be someone you rely on and I will work towards fostering a positive university experience for everyone. Vote for Naisha Saraf as your Wellbeing Activities Officer, and together we will build a supportive, inclusive, and thriving campus community.
