Hello everyone!
I'm Amy, and I would love to be your ICSMSU Management Group Treasurer next year!
This year, I've had the privilege of being President of ICSM Light Opera and Chair of IC Big Band, leading committees, coordinating events, and overseeing budgets (as well as spending a lot of time on eActivities). These roles have shown me firsthand how important strong, clear financial guidance is for societies to thrive, and how difficult it can be to navigate tricky union processes without the correct support.
What I Want to Achieve as Treasurer:
- Support Clubs & Societies: I want to make finances simple, accessible and far less intimidating. Treasurers should feel supported, not overwhelmed, when dealing with old or new union processes.
- Practical Training & Resources: I will provide clear guidance, templates, and workshops to help societies start the year strong. I also want to introduce ad hoc, ICSM specific training when Union processes change, so no society loses out simply because guidance wasn’t updated in time.
- Transparency & Communication: Keeping committees informed about processes, deadlines, and opportunities is key. I want to ensure communication is clear, timely, and consistent so societies can plan with confidence.
Above all, I will bring organisation, dedication, and approachability to this role. Having served as a society president myself, I understand the pressures committees face, and I want to be a Treasurer that treasurers feel confident and comfortable turning to for guidance.
