CGCU: Sponsorship Officer

As Sponsorship Officer, my goal is simple: expand and professionalise our industrial partnerships so every society under CGCU benefits.

Through my experience as Industrial Liaison Officer, I have built industry pipelines, secured multi-thousand-pound sponsorship interest, and negotiated structured partnerships. Prior to Imperial, I worked with over 100 vendors and external partners while managing close to £1 million in operational funding, ensuring accountability and long-term sustainability. As current CGCU Treasurer, overseeing funding across 40+ societies, I understand both the financial mechanics and the coordination required to scale sponsorship effectively.

As Sponsorship Officer, I will focus on:

Expanding CGCU’s industrial footprint beyond traditional partners into startups, research labs, and emerging tech firms.
Developing structured, tiered sponsorship packages that provide clarity, measurable value, and repeat engagement.
Creating cross-society sponsorship models so larger partnerships benefit multiple societies simultaneously.
Showcasing CGCU societies and projects directly to industry through curated networking sessions and external-facing events.
Strengthening long-term relationships rather than one-off transactions.

Sponsorship should not be reactive. It should be strategic, transparent, and scalable.

CGCU has the talent, reputation, and reach. With stronger industrial alignment, we can unlock more funding, more exposure, and more opportunity for every member society.
