Our best ideas shouldn't be running on empty budgets.
I’m Aayush, and I’m running for Sponsorship Officer to secure the financial backing your projects and events actually deserve.
Before I even started my first year, I founded an organisation, leading teams to execute global summits for 500+ participants from over 15 countries. This event management and outreach experience familiarised me with the process of securing elite corporate sponsors and managing high-profile guests like India's ex-Chief Justice. Moreover, as a “National Agenda Coordinator” at high school, I also coordinated directly with government agencies and high-profile stakeholders. I know how to pitch to companies, negotiate contracts, and turn "we'll get back to you" into signed deals. Generic cold emails to HR departments don’t work anymore. We need modern partnerships that actually give Imperial students a tangible advantage.
My Action Plan:
- Hardware & Software Grants: Moving beyond just funding event pizza. I’ll push tech and engineering firms to provide free premium software licenses, API credits, and hardware components directly to CGCU members for personal and coursework projects.
- Direct-to-Interview Pipelines: Instead of crowded, generic career fairs, I will pitch companies on hosting exclusive "portfolio roasts" and technical mock-interviews run by their actual engineers, giving you a direct line to internships.
- The CGCU Sponsorship Playbook: Building a centralised database of warm corporate leads so smaller departmental societies don’t have to start from scratch when seeking funding.
Great engineering takes vision, but actually building it takes a budget. Vote Aayush. Let's get your ideas funded.
