Hi everyone! I'm Sijin Wu, your current Gender Equality Officer, running to continue serving you on the Gender Equality Network.

What I've Achieved This Year

This year, I've worked to make real changes on campus. I've collaborated with other officers to expand menstrual product availability and variety across campus, participated in discussions about improving gender-neutral facilities, and contributed to the Union's gender-related research to amplify women's voices.

On 9th March, I'm hosting an International Women's Day event with tea, crafts, providing a comfortable place for participants to create meaningful conversations, and showcasing incredible female achievements. Welcome everyone to join.

My Plans for Next Year

Female Mentorship Programme – I'll partner with FemSoc and so on, to connect students with successful women in STEM and other industries, providing guidance for career planning in male-dominated fields and valuable life suggestions.

Stronger Community Connections – More social events and discussion opportunities where everyone's voice counts and perspectives are genuinely heard.
