Hi, I’m Rama! I’m a current 5th year and I’m running to be your Academic Officer for Clinical Years!
Over the past year I’ve had the pleasure of advocating for students as the Academic Rep for BSc year. I learnt how the feedback cycle actually works and how to ensure student voices are heard.
I’ve also been an Arts Academic Officer meaning I’ve already planned a mock CPA, OSCE and two PACES!
I believe the clinical years are foundational to our experience at medical school. That's why this year, I want to continue advocating for students by:
- Ensuring you’re delivered high quality and well-organised mocks!
- Lobbying for a less intrusive attendance monitoring model ensuring student voices are directly consulted
- Advocate for the release of centralised teaching materials from placements so regardless of site there are specialty resources for you!
- Advocate for Imperial to fund the gap left by the NHS commuter bursary by refunding transport to centralised locations
- Advocate for clearer curricula and collaborate with faculty to improve (or replace) Sofia!
- Work with faculty to produce better PSA teaching resources and provide a dedicated course
