Hi, I'm Rachel - you've probably seen me attempting (and kinda completing) Circle Line, at Fashion Show, on a Pub Crawl, or just permanently in Reynolds "just popping in".
This year, I've been Social Sec for Light Opera, organising tour, Opera Dinner, and twice-weekly socials, plus large club nights that actually ran smoothly. I know how to properly plan, negotiate venues, manage budgets, and keep events fun without breaking the bank. I'm an expert in holding down the 'behind-the-scenes' so that we can all have a fun time.
If elected, my focus is simple: make Freshers' Fortnight iconic, and make the rest of the year just as strong.
My action points:
- A balanced Freshers' schedule: big nights out AND daytime / sober events.
- A creative, easy-to-do theme
- Early ticket release and clear communication
- Accessible, affordable socials that connects the whole medical school.
