Erb Shivdeep

Hallo everybody, I’m Erb S, a second year Maths student, and I’m running to be your Departmental Academic Rep. Many of you from the year 2 cohort may know me from around Huxley or from interacting with me on the year group chat.

I’ve been an academic rep for my year for two terms now, and during that time I’ve worked to collect and forward feedback to represent the students’ voices in bi-termly Student-Staff Committee meetings, and I want to take what I’ve learnt from that experience to continue contributing to the way the course is managed, and ensure that your opinions are heard and valued. This is all with the ultimate aim of making our collective time here in this department more manageable, productive and pleasant—I am quite familiar with how intense and overwhelming Imperial Maths can get at times.
