Hello! I'm Johnathan, your candidate for Activities Chair. Studying at Imperial is intense. While we are all here to push ourselves, university life should be more than problem sheets and deadlines. At CGCU, we hope to create a community where we can relax, have fun and meet people outside our course and year group.

As Activities Chair, my goal is simple: organise events that you genuinely look forward to. I wish to make events more frequent and varied with something for everyone. This could mean a mixture of sports tournaments, laid-back socials, karaoke nights and even collaborations with other societies. Whether you prefer something competitive, creative or just a chance to unwind with friends, CGCU should have something that appeals to you.

Most importantly, I’m open to your suggestions. CGCU events should reflect what students actually want, not just what’s been done before. I’ll listen to feedback throughout the year and act on them so our activities can stay fresh and exciting.

If elected, I’ll work put effort into making sure every event is well-planned and fun. Let’s build a stronger, more connected engineering community together.
